چکیده
1. The in vitro mammalian cell gene mutation test can be used to detect gene mutations induced by chemical substances. Suitable cell lines include L5178Y mouse lymphoma cells, the CHO, AS52 and V79 lines of Chinese hamster cells, and TK6 human lymphoblastoid cells (1). In these cell lines the most commonly-used genetic endpoints measure mutation at thymidine kinase (TK) and hypoxanthine-guanine phosphoribosyl transferase (HPRT), and a transgene of xanthineguanine phosphoribosyl transferase (XPRT). The TK, HPRT and XPRT mutation tests detect different spectra of genetic events. The autosomal location of TK and XPRT may allow the detection of genetic events (e.g. large deletions) not detected at the HPRT locus on X-chromosomes (2)(3)(4)(5)(6).

OECD GUIDELINE FOR TESTING OF CHEMICALS Proposal for a New DRAFT GUIDELINE 434: Acute Dermal Toxicity – Fixed Dose Procedure
1. OECD Guidelines for the Testing of Chemicals are periodically reviewed in the light of scientific progress and animal welfare considerations. The original acute Dermal Toxicity Guideline TG 402 (1) was adopted in 1987. Development of a dermal Fixed Dose Procedure (FDP) was considered appropriate, following adoption of the revised Oral FDP, OECD Guideline 420 (2) and deletion of OECD Guidelin...

1. The OECD Guidelines for the Testing of Chemicals are periodically reviewed in the light of scientific progress, changing regulatory needs and animal welfare considerations. The original Test Guideline 487 was adopted in 2010; it has been revised in the context of an overall review of the OECD Test Guidelines on genotoxicity. A document presented as an Introduction to the Test Guidelines on g...

1. The OECD Guidelines for the Testing of Chemicals are periodically reviewed in the light of scientific progress, changing regulatory needs, and animal welfare considerations. The original Test Guideline 473 was adopted in 1983. In 1997 a revised version was issued, based on scientific progress made to that date. Modifications within the current version reflect nearly thirty years of experienc...

1. In Copenhagen in June 1995, an OECD Working Group on Reproduction and Developmental Toxicity discussed the need to update existing OECD Test Guidelines for reproduction and developmental toxicity and the development of new Guidelines for endpoints not yet covered. The Working Group recommended that the Guideline for Developmental Toxicity should be revised, based on a proposal received from ...

1. The OECD Test Guideline Programme periodically reviews progress in test method development and refinement, both in terms of scientific advances and animal welfare, to determine whether existing Test Guidelines should be updated and whether new Guidelines should be developed. Toward that end, a new assay for the determination of skin sensitisation in the mouse, the Local Lymph Node Assay (LLN...
